Pupil Voice plays an important role in Portobello High School. The Pupil Parliament is a vital part of a decision-making body at school with pupil leaders informing policy ideas and working closely alongside staff at school to make Portobello the best it possibly can be. There is opportunity throughout the school to engage with the Pupil Parliament as at the start of each school year learners in the Guidance (PSE) classes will select two pupils to represent them and their year cohort this forming a year group council. These members in these meetings will discuss relevant business points on our school including learning and teaching, facilities and other important agenda points which are relevant to that year cohort. Alongside, our Year Councils we also have a Pupil Parliament this is where all representatives from each year group will convene to discuss school agenda points meeting Senior Leaders.
