The sports facilities that are available at Portobello High School include the following:
Games Hall – This large games hall has the capacity for four badminton courts and can accommodate a full basketball court. Spectator seating is available within the games hall.
Small Hall – The smaller hall is used primarily for basketball and gymnastics.
Swimming Pool – The school has a 15 metre long swimming pool which is four lanes wide.
Outdoor Facilities – Portobello High School has an outdoor 5 a-side astro turf pitch.
Due to the sports facilities being restricted by the location of the present building, frequent use is made of the facilities available at the Jack Kane Centre. Transport is provided for the pupils on private coaches, supervised by teaching staff.
