Many thanks to the S6 and their sterling efforts to take the lead in raising money for the various charities supported by Portobello High School in the 2010 – 2011 academic year.
They have taken the responsibility for getting the word out about the various activities and have been active participants in the opportunities. Many thanks for their willingness to help. From poppy sales for the Poppy Appeal, to the fancy dress days for various charities, to the leg waxing and sponsored silence for Red Nose Day plus other things not mentioned here, there have been a lot of activities and opportunities to raise awareness and develop citizenship in the pupils across the school.
This is not the end of the fundraising for the academic year; however, we still have the readathon for CHAS (more info to come) as well as the “Wear Red” for Red Cross Day.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
