International Links – Adopt a tree

The International Links working group would like to share a message received from the head teacher of our link school in Chogoria, Kenya. This message follows the adoption of some trees in the grounds of Kiurani Secondary School Help raise funds to give Kiurani pupils and staff the opportunity to visit Edinburgh.

I wish to register my warm appreciation on behalf of our school and myself for your kind participation in adopting our trees we were planting in December.

Planting these trees is part of our partnership project with Portobello High School in making our environment a better place for today’s generation and future generations.

We have embarked in planting some of the most endangered tree species in Kenya, yet very useful species (the Moringa Tree).

We really appreciate and thank you all for accepting to partner with us in this noble project. Currently we are replacing all the trees that dried up now that we are enjoying the long rains.

Thank you once more for being part of our team.

Mr Timothy Nyaga Kinyua, Principal
