Mr Muir gets published

Congratulations to Mr Muir, who teaches in the Science Department, on winning the February competition in New Scientist Magazine which required entrants (around 500) to explain a scientific conundrum. To see the conundrum and the winners’ explanations, click on shake-shiver.

New Scientist has a problem page, the Last Word, where readers can ask questions about scientific phenomena. To see some readers’ questions and answers that Mr Muir has supplied and has recently had printed in the Last Word, please click here.
