LITTER

Since the summer holidays I have received a number of complaints from the local community about some of our pupils dropping litter, speaking rudely to local business people and residents and being loud and disruptive in park areas. It is disappointing for us as a learning community that our reputation is being brought into disrepute by a small group of pupils.

We spend a lot of time speaking to youngsters during assemblies, through notices discussed at Registration and through Personal and Social Education class, not only about litter, but about citizenship and the importance of showing respect to people in the community and to the local environment.

We will continue to do all we can to encourage good behaviour from our pupils and to instil soun
